Christmas at Moorside

26 November 2020 (by schooladmin)

Christmas

Dear Parent/Carer,

Despite the current Covid restrictions, we are determined to make Christmas at Moorside special! We have been thinking carefully about the provision we can make in school to make sure that the children can still enjoy this special time of year.

Christmas Cards

Children can bring in cards on the following dates- they will be quarantined for at least 48hrs before being sent home.

Dates to bring in

Date given out

30th Nov- 2nd Dec

4th Dec

7th Dec – 9th Dec

11th Dec

14th  - 16th Dec

18th Dec

8th December  - Christmas dinner day and Christmas jumper day.

Please let the office know if you would like to order a Christmas dinner for your child. The cost is £2.20. Children will be able to wear a Christmas jumper and festive headwear on this day (usual school trousers/skirts and footwear should be worn).

Pantomime

The PTA have kindly purchased access to an online performance of the pantomime ‘Robin Hood’  - the children will have the opportunity to watch this in class during the festive period in school.

Christmas performances

With restrictions meaning that we cannot mix our bubbles, each class will be recording their own performance that Parents/Carers will be able to view on Seesaw from 14th December.

17th December - Christmas Party Day

Children are invited to come to school in their party clothes on this day. Parties will be held in class bubbles and we are hoping that Father Christmas may be able to come and pay a socially distanced visit!

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs. H. Higgs
