Arrangements for September 2021

22 July 2021 (by schooladmin)

 Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing to update you with the arrangements for September now that restrictions have been eased.

 Attendance

We continue to place high priority on attendance. We ask that if your child is going to be absent, you inform the school office by 9am. Where possible, we ask that all medical and dental appointments are arranged for times outside of the school day.

Please note that holidays taken in term time will be unauthorised absence and may result in a penalty fine.

 School Dinners

We are looking forward to working with our new school meal providers (Great Heights Academy Trust). You should have all received the 3 week menu booking form. If there are any problems, please contact us.

Pupils eating packed lunches will go back to eating in the lunch hall. Packed lunches should follow the healthy packed lunch guidance (see school website).

Uniform

All children are expected to wear school uniform as detailed in our school uniform policy which can be found on the school website. Uniform will be available to buy from school during the first week of the holidays (week beg 26th July) and will also be available for collection on the first 2 training days (6th and 7th September). For any families experiencing difficulties purchasing uniform, please ring school and ask to speak with a member of the pastoral team.  Wyndsor Shoes, Halifax, also sell our school uniform or you can order on-line by accessing www.schoolshopdirect.co.uk

Breakfast Club

The Magic Breakfast club will reopen from the 8th September but will initially be only available for keyworker children. We are hoping to extend this provision by October half term.

Children can be dropped off at the Breakfast club entrance at the front of school between 7.45am and 8.30 am. The cost of this childcare provision will be £1.50 per child between 7.45am and 8.15 am and 50p per child from 8.15 am, up to a maximum of £15 per family per week. Healthy breakfast provision is free.

To help with planning for numbers please contact the school office for registration details if you require this provision.

For all other children warm breakfast bagels will be brought to the classroom at the start of their school day.

A free healthy tuck provision will continue to be provided at morning playtime for all pupils. Drinking water will be accessible throughout the day in class, each child having their own labelled water bottle. Snacks and drinks from home should not be provided.

Start and finish times – from 8th September (Nursery and Reception have been given individual start dates)

The one-way system around the exterior of the school building will remain in place in order to aid congestion issues.

We will have a 10 minute window for drop off between 8:40am and 8:50am.

All children will finish at 3:10pm.

After School Clubs

We are intending to host After School Clubs as soon as we can in the Autumn term and we will send out more information when children return to school in September.

Visits to school

The pastoral team/senior leadership team will be on duty at the start/end of the school day to pass on any messages you may have for class teachers. Class staff will also be present at drop off/pick up points to pass messages onto.

Covid Risk assessment

The school risk assessment will be updated and available on the school website. We will continue to act within local and national guidelines.

Yours faithfully,
