Dear Parent/Carer,

Our half term theme for PSHE Jigsaw lessons is ‘Dreams and Goals’.

EYFS pupils will explore how to keep going when things are a challenge, we will explore setting a goal and how to work together to achieve our goal, using kindness and encouragement to help each other. Learning to understand that by working hard and being supportive we can feel proud of our achievements.

KS1 pupils will be supported to set simple goals and identify their successes and achievements. They will be helped to identify challenges and obstacles and work out how to overcome them. They will be encouraged to work as part of a group to create an end product and share their success with others.

KS2 pupils will research individuals who have faced difficult challenges and achieved success in different job roles and cultures. They will learn about the importance of motivation and enthusiasm, how to recognise obstacles and manage feelings of frustration by being resilient and keeping positive. They will learn some ways to cope with disappointment and work with others to make a difference.
